Director / Past President Daisy Wai, President of Ad2000 And Beyond Advertising Inc., has been in the advertising / public relations / publishing business for over 30 years. She founded Ad2000 And Beyond Advertising Inc., a full-service marketing and advertising agency, in 1993. Ad2000 has served a wide range of government and corporate clients including the Province of New Brunswick, York Region, MP/MPP’s offices, Avocent, HSBC (Canada) Inc., Mackenzie Mutual Funds, AGF, Canada Life, Pierre Laurent Watches, Howard Jewelers, Dynamic Mutual Funds, etc. During the recent years, Daisy has devoted much of her time in supporting Canadian companies to develop their businesses into the China market. She has co-organized the Chinese Expo 2002, the Chinese Business Conference 2004 and organized the York Region Business Study Mission 2005. All of these have helped Canadian businesses to equip themselves for the China market and to get into a closer relationship with the Chinese investors. Daisy has built up strong connection with Chinese businesses by participating in the Team Canada Trade Mission led by the then Prime Minister Jean Cretien in 2001 and the Canada Trade Mission led by the Minister of International Trade, James Peterson and Prime Minister Paul Martin in January 2005. With her dedication and high quality of work, Daisy was recognized by the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce with the Business Achievement Award and by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce with Award of Merit. She also received the York Region In Celebration for Women Marketing Award, Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs Award, Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee Memorial Medal and the Town of Richmond Hill’s Volunteer Achievement Award. Daisy also contributed to the community by serving as the Member of York Regional Police Services Board, Chair of the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Board for Herald Monthly. Immediate Past President of the Richmond Hill and Markham Chinese Business Association, and directorship with many others. Daisy is married with 4 children and enjoyed serving the community and her church. |
